OMK Design

Commissioned in collaboration with Studio Circulaire to launch two new products for public spaces from the OMK Design range: the ‘Bridge’ table and the ‘Link’ modular seating system. The images were to be used for brochures, the OMK Design website and publicity materials for international trade fairs.

Founded in 1965 by Rodney Kinsman RDI, OMK designed and manufactured much of the furniture sold through Sir Terence Conran’s Habitat stores in the ‘60s and ‘70s.

A key figure in the High-Tech design movement, Kinsman’s products are regarded as icons of 20th century British design.

I was commissioned by OMK Design to art direct and style their new ‘Bridge’ table and ‘Link’ modular seating system, for their brochure, website and publicity materials for international trade fairs in collaboration with photographer James Oaten and Studio Circulaire.

Shot in a studio location over two days, we took our inspiration from OMK’s photoshoots from the 1970s, drawing on the company’s history to showcase its new designs for public spaces. The images are highly adaptable for use in a variety of applications, and were shot both with and without props to highlight the strong design elements, as well as the potential uses of the products
